JULIE FLAM (Brussels / Belgium) is a photographer with a graphic design background. She is part of Fotografar Palavras, an international project that is translating texts by Portuguese-speaking authors into images. She mainly explores performance and self-portrait. Portraiture is also recently part of her work. As an activist, she is collaborating with Krasnyi Collective, composed of people sharing common commitment towards social movements. Beyond aesthetic and therapeutic aspects, she continually strives to pursue an emotional, questioning and/or militant approach to her photography.
